Is the devil.

There, I said it.

I hate prewashing fabric. I hate all the unraveling and the strings that happen (even if you use a lingerie bag). I hate ironing a huge piece of yardage.

I just hate everything about it. I have never prewashed fabric and I have no intentions to start. So far none of my projects have had problems, and hopefully they won't start.

(PS- I must admit that I did soak the red batik backing for this quilt because I was terrified not to.)

  1. I'll admit it too. I only prewash fabric that I will making into a grament. I hate prewash.

  2. Oh man, I love ironing and folding a freshly laundered piece of fabric. It's so fun to get that extra time with my lovely new fabrics.

For a while now, I've been thinking how nice it would be to have local quilting friends. Everyone could come over and we could swap jobs we dislike for jobs we like. I'd wash, iron and cut fabric for anyone who asked. :)
